| 6/15/2007 Big Bear Tire’s very own Josh Kolbach was in attendance of the 9th annual Neon gathering sponsored by the internet forum at www.neons.org. Sporting a plethora of information from the shop, Josh drove his mildly modified 1997 Dodge Neon Sport to the event. Once there, Josh discovered many other Neon enthusiasts waiting for the festivities to commence. After a quick set-up of materials, Josh looked up to discover that he wasn’t alone in setting up a car show-esque (?) display in front of their cars. While wandering about the parking lot, Josh re-connected with old friends, and met new ones from all over the country (and Canada, eh?). In his findings were quite a few rare vehicles including a 1995 ACR coupe painted Nitro Yellow Green from the factory (only 147 coupes with the ACR or “American Club Racer” package were painted this hue at the factory.) In his presence there, a few neon enthusiasts picked up brochures and cards to pursue questions that Josh wasn’t able to answer, and a few inquired about services that Big Bear Tire offers to all of our customers. After the impromptu car show, the members headed out to dinner and other festivities apart from the group, but the memories will live forever in the photos and stories that everyone walked away from this event with. |
